Issues with Urkund using latest version of Safari
Staff using the latest version of Safari (v13.1) cannot enable Urkund on their assignments. Students also cannot access the tool using this version of Safari. In order to circumvent this issues, use another browse e.g. Chrome or Firefox.
Exporting a Quiz report from Brightspace
When exporting a Quiz report from Brightspace, instructors have experienced problems with the .csv export option. ITServices have been informed of the issue and are in discussion with D2L about remedies. Please let us know if you have had an issue.

Google Meet is a free tool available to all staff and students which allows them to host online meetings. Meetings can be created on the fly or can be scheduled and shared by creating a meeting event in your UCD Connect calendar. The below guide details the steps to schedule an event using your UCD Connect Calendar.
Using Google Meet to Record Student Presentations
Google Meet is a free tool that is available to all students and staff in UCD. Hangouts Meet has a handy record feature so as well as being to record a meeting or group work, you can use it to record yourself presenting. You can then share that file with your lecturer, once the presentation is finished. The steps below detail how you can use Hangouts Meet to record your presentation.
Using Google Meet for Student Groups
Google Hangouts Meet allows you to schedule meetings with your groups so you can continue to collaborate online. As well as using Google calendar to schedule a meeting at a specific time on a specific date, you can also create a new online meeting on the fly. The steps below detail how you can use Hangouts Meet for groups and team work.
Using Discussions in Brightspace
You can create whole-class or group discussion areas in Brightspace. The discussion board tool is available for you to use in all of your modules on Brightspace. Discussion boards can used to create a forum where the entire class participates. Dedicated discussion boards can also be created for student groups in the module.
Using Zoom for Online Classes
While Collaborate Ultra is still the University approved tool for hosting online classes, Zoom can be used to run online classes if necessary.
